Jamie King is an Emmy-nominated writer and producer of film and television.
His feature credits include the horror comedy BUDDY, written with Casper Kelly, for which he is also an Executive Producer. BUDDY was a 2026 Sundance selection, and will be released theatrically on 9/4/26. He also co-wrote the original hip-hop musical WORLD’S BEST with Utkarsh Ambudkar, which is available on Disney+. It was nominated for Best Fiction Special at the 2024 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.
For TV, Jamie contributed to all three seasons of MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES, including the season one finale “Smile,” which earned both a Peabody and a Hugo Award. Jamie wrote for the sci-fi drama IMPULSE on YouTube Premium. His coming-of-age horror pilot CASTLE ROCK won Best Teleplay at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival. He has written for video games, including MARVEL’S AVENGERS by Square Enix. He studied theater at NYU, and received his MFA in Writing and Producing for TV from Loyola Marymount University, where he created THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SHAKESPEARE.
