\"\"<\/a>Jamie King is an Emmy-nominated writer of film and television.<\/p>\n

His feature credits include the horror film BUDDY<\/a>, a 2026 Sundance selection written with Casper Kelly, and WORLD’S BEST<\/a>,<\/span> an original hip-hop musical written for Disney with Utkarsh Ambudkar, which was nominated for Best Fiction Special at the 2024 Children\u2019s and Family Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n

On the TV side, Jamie contributed to all three seasons of MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES<\/a>, including the season one finale \u201cSmile,\u201d which earned both a Peabody and a Hugo Award. Jamie also wrote on the sci-fi drama IMPULSE<\/a> for YouTube Premium. His coming-of-age horror pilot CASTLE ROCK won Best Teleplay at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival<\/a>. He has also written for video games, including MARVEL\u2019S AVENGERS<\/a> by Square Enix.<\/p>\n

Jamie grew up in Washington State, and studied theater at New York University. After graduating, he performed stand-up comedy, and wrote and produced several shows at the UCB Theater, the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, and the Second City Theater.<\/p>\n

In 2013, he received his MFA in Writing and Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University, where he created THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SHAKESPEARE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jamie became an assistant on MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES<\/a>, where he was promoted to Staff Writer in Season One, later returning for Seasons Two and Three. He has five writing credits over three seasons.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Jamie has written family features for Disney, a coming-of-age horror pilot, and a children’s book.<\/p>\n

Jamie lives in Studio City with his wife, son and daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n
