Writer/Producer Jamie King grew up in Washington State, studied theater at New York University, and spent years performing improv and stand-up in NYC. He has written and produced his own sketches, shorts and musicals for the web, and performed them live at venues like the UCB Theater, the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, and the Second City Theater. Jamie has been a semi-finalist in the Slamdance and Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competitions, and his essays have appeared online for McSweeney’s and College Humor. After graduating with honors from Loyola Marymount University’s Writing and Producing for Television Program, Jamie interned in the SONS OF ANARCHY writers’ room and assisted producers on THE DIVIDE for AMC Studios, before moving to MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES, where he received two freelance script assignments and rose from assistant to Staff Writer within the first season. His short THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SHAKESPEARE was an official selection in the Port Townsend Film Festival, and his horror-comedy pilot CASTLE ROCK is currently in development with Adam F. Goldberg.
